Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Everyone!

While people are making goals and resolutions for 2013, I've decided to just do. I told a really good friend of mine that I'm ready to run for God!! God gives each of us gifts and talents in which he expects us to use. Many of our gifts lay dormant. I don't want to be like the servant in Matthew 25 (read when you have time) that took his talent and buried it in the ground because he didn't know what to do with it. When the Master returned to find there was no increase from the servant's talent, the Master took it away and gave it to someone else.

God has blessed many of us with multiple gifts and talents. We are to use them to make a difference in our world. Don't be afraid to step out and move in your talents. Make a conscious effort to do! If God gave them to you, you are qualified and capable of succeeding in those areas.

This is my favorite quote for 2013:

“When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, 'I used everything you gave me.”

  3. Well, you know Nikes' campaign is still relevant and will be for decades to come "JUST DO IT!" Why? because we live in a culture that uses fear to keep us doubting and stuck, so we'll buy the next product that'll claim to help us "do"-- The question, "Am I really capable?" haunts many a people, that might be why old boy in Matthew 25 hid the few seeds/talents he had. I wonder if he would've done more had he received a Nike t-shirt or some fresh hi-tops "JUST DO IT?!?" lol --I'm so glad the Spirit of truth is available to coach us and stir up our gifts, which encourages me to know I'm not acting on my own...and DOING in line with God equals-- SUCCESS.

    Happy New Year indeed.
